We are delighted to share the incredible success of the Winter Warmer – Homeless Relief Cabaret, held on June 21, 2023. The evening was a heart-warming gathering that brought together community members who want to make a difference in the lives of those homelessness in Tweed Shire.

Dharma Care is excited to announce its Winter Warmer Homelessness Relief Campaign is off to a flying start.  The sold-out Fundraising Cabaret held at Kingscliff on Thurs 15 June generated $13,184 in income and donations towards this really important cause.

A total of $56,944 has been raised by 31 July 2023.

Hosted at a Kingscliff Bowls Club overlooking the ocean, the event provided a perfect setting for attendees to embrace the spirit of giving during the winter season.

Funds raised will provide essential support and comfort to people experiencing, or at risk of experiencing homelessness, in the Tweed Shire during the cold winter months.

Dharma Care is an Australian charity dedicated to creating life-changing opportunities for the destitute and disadvantaged. It’s our mission to facilitate lasting change, creating a ripple effect that benefits future generations.

Through the generosity of the attendees, sponsors, and volunteers, we will be able to make a significant impact on the lives of those who fund themselves homeless this winter.

The Cabaret Fundraiser included silent auctions, raffles and multiple opportunities to contribute and support the cause. The overwhelming response and generosity displayed by the attendees surpassed all expectations.

A highlight of the night was the inspiring speakers with direct experience of homelessness or of working with the homeless who shared their experiences and insights on homelessness. Their stories shed light on the challenges faced by individuals without stable housing and reinforced the importance of community support.

The event also featured performances by local artists, who captivated the audience with their talents and added an element of entertainment to the evening. The artists generously gave their time and skills to help make the event a memorable one.

The success of the Winter Warmer – Homeless Relief event would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our volunteers and sponsors. Their unwavering support and commitment to the cause played a pivotal role in making the event a resounding success.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the attendees who generously contributed to the homeless relief efforts. Your donations and participation will make a significant impact on the lives of those in need during the winter months.

As the event ended, it left a lasting impression on everyone who attended. The event served as a reminder of the power of compassion and community, and how a collective effort can bring about positive change.

We extend our deepest thanks to everyone involved in making the Winter Warmer – Homeless Relief event a remarkable and meaningful experience. Your support and dedication will make a difference in the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness.

Stay connected with us for future events and initiatives aimed at making a positive impact in our community.  Together, we can continue to spread warmth, compassion, and support to those who need it the most.
